Have you read through the comments on a controversial Facebook post, lately? Actually, it doesn’t even have to be controversial to illustrate my point.
Someone is pointing out a grammar mistake. Someone is calling another a name. And still, another is questioning the state of the other’s soul. It’s not pretty.
It’s like the junior high cafeteria. Everyone’s vying for a place where their voice is heard and valued by the most people. And if you get in their way, they have no problem teasing you about your braces or unruly bangs.
Ah, yes, the comment section. It’s quite the reminder that we are all a bunch of broken people, who are longing for the same three things. We are looking for them in the wrong place, though.
