I don’t like failing.
As in, I go out of my way to avoid even the semblance of failure.
In school, I wouldn’t try out for teams I wasn’t 100% sure I would make. I only enrolled in college courses I knew I could ace. I’ve played it safe most of my life.
It wasn’t until recently that I realized what was going on with me. I’m fearful of not being able to do things perfectly. I don’t like the disappointment of not succeeding. So instead of acting and being let down, I avoid.
I’m paralyzed by my idea of perfection.
But God, in all of His gracious love and power, has been rewriting my heart on this. And after lots of prayer and journaling, I’ve dubbed this the year of “doing scary things.” And that means no more perfection paralysis!
I’ve discovered four key steps that have helped me conquer my perfection paralysis. And, today, I’m over at Faith Along the Way sharing them with you! I’d love for you to meet me over there!

If you are looking to dig deep into what is holding you back, and you are ready to move forward in faith, I highly recommend Grace Goals. It was through Arabah Joy’s course that I discovered my perfection paralysis heart issue.
It doesn’t matter if you come upon this post in January or June. God wants you to move forward in His love and grace, today.
